Our commitment to academics is manifest by our subspecialty fellowships. We have joint fellowships in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine (in partnership with SUNY/Downstate), Gastroenterology (in partnership with the Brooklyn Hospital Center), and Infectious Disease (in partnership with Maimonides Medical Center).

Program Director's Letter

The Internal Medicine Residency Program of Lutheran Medical Center is committed to training residents who are determined to be great internists. True to this mission, all of the positions are categorical. Graduates of our program are confident managing patients of diverse cultures with illness ranging from acute to chronic disease and preventative care in the healthy patient to palliative care at the end of life. Residents will learn to practice safe, effective and efficient care across the spectrum of disease.
